Dr. Johnson
Alabama native Dr. Dara Johnson was born and raised in our capital city of Montgomery, AL, where her deep sense of community and commitment to helping others first took root. She pursued her passion for dentistry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, earning her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2024. Determined to further refine her skills and provide the highest level of care to her patients, Dr. Johnson went on to complete an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency through NYU Langone Health at Christ Community Health Services in Memphis, TN.
During her residency, Dr. Johnson immersed herself in advanced training that encompassed comprehensive dentistry, oral surgery, implant placement and restoration, digital dentistry technologies, and public health initiatives. She also gained extensive experience caring for patients with complex medical needs, allowing her to approach every case with confidence, compassion, and precision. This broad scope of expertise enables Dr. Johnson to offer well-rounded, patient-focused care that addresses both immediate dental concerns and long-term oral health goals.
Now calling Chelsea home, Dr. Johnson is genuinely excited to serve the community, bringing her clinical skill, warm personality, and attentive approach to every patient she meets. She is passionate about building lasting relationships based on trust, clear communication, and a shared commitment to healthy, confident smiles.
Dr. Johnson is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Christian Medical Ministries of Alabama, and the National Network for Oral Health Access, among other respected professional organizations. She also finds joy and purpose in her faith community as a member of The Star Church. Whether in the dental chair or out in the community, Dr. Johnson strives to embody integrity, excellence, and service in all that she does.
